Heartfelt Disclosure From The Couple
(Sorry! We know this is long, but it's one of our most important points, so please read in it's entirety.
As we prepare for our trip, we want to share an important disclaimer. We would love to see all our loved ones in the Philippines, but we do not want anyone to be uncomfortable.
The Philippines has wonderful islands, kind people, and yummy food, but it is a third world country, is hot and humid, and all guests will see extreme poverty (especially in Manila). For those who have visited Mexico, there are similarities, but Mexico is still much more affluent than the Philippines ($1 = 20 mxn peso, $1 = 60 ph peso). Please note that this will be more of an adventurous vacation instead of a luxurious one. The comforts that you might expect with a resort-style vacation may not be provided.

We would love this to feel more like a big family vacation than a destination wedding - it’s not just about us. Our loved ones happiness is our priority; we’re happy when you are! If you feel that you might not be comfortable to join us, we understand.

If the new experience of the Philippines is alluring enough to overcome possible reservations that you may have, we are so excited to travel with you! Nikka is endlessly proud to call it her birthplace, and it’s one of Cesar’s favorite places (though he might just be kissing up to the Pisigans). We just want to ensure that expectations are clear and realistic for our loved ones. Thank you for considering celebrating our union with us.

With an abundance of love and respect,
Nikka and Cesar
